Present

Respect For All Week Essay Contest

Students are Invited to Write an Essay on What a Student Should do to Help Prevent Bullying, Harassment or Intimidating Behavior. 

Rules are as follows:

  • Only students in grades PreK-12 in CEC District 21 may participate in this contest.
  • The contest will be judged in three separate categories, which include:
  • Elementary Grades PreK-5; Intermediate School Grades 6-8; High School Grades 9-12
  • Essays may be handwritten or typed.
  • All essays are to be 400 words or less.
  • Heading must include name, grade, school, class, and essay title.
  • Limit to one essay per student.
  • All essays must be completed and handed in to your school principal no later than Friday, February 17, 2012.

*Judges will look for an organized beginning, middle, and ending; originality; insight; creative ideas; useful ideas; correct spelling and punctuation.*

Winners of each category will receive a City Council citation personally signed by

Councilman Domenic M. Recchia, Jr.

Winners will be awarded at the March 21, 2012 CEC Calendar Meeting at 6:30 PM.
